Accessibility statement

My Dark Book aims to meet the principles of WCAG 2.2 at level AA as closely as practical. The following measures are in place across the site.

• Complete keyboard navigation with visible focus indicators, a skip link, and a focusable main landmark.
• Semantic HTML with a correct heading hierarchy, labelled regions and breadcrumbs on every deep page.
• Page-turn controls with descriptive labels (“Next chapter: II, For Her”), plus keyboard arrows and swipe as alternatives, never as the only way.
• The table of contents, search and age confirmation are accessible dialogs with focus management and Escape to close.
• Chapter changes and filter results are announced to screen readers through polite live regions.
• Reduced motion: when your operating system requests it, the book opening, page turns and hover lifts are replaced with fades.
• Meaningful illustrations carry text alternatives; decorative ornaments and textures are hidden from assistive technology.
• No information is communicated by colour alone: compatibility cells and badges always carry text.
• Touch targets are at least 44 pixels on controls, and there is no horizontal scrolling at any viewport.
• Body text uses a legible sans-serif at a comfortable reading width; display type is reserved for headings.

Known limitations

The cinematic cover is decorative; its content is duplicated in ordinary HTML. Product comparison and filters require JavaScript; the underlying product guides and chapter pages do not.
