Chapter VI · Section 6 of 11

Fragrance-free choices

Unscented formulas, and why “unscented” and “fragrance-free” are not always the same claim.

What to look for

Osmolality and pH
Some public-health guidance discusses lubricant osmolality and pH. Manufacturers do not always publish these figures; when they do, they are worth noting for sensitive skin.
Oil and latex
Oil-based products, including many massage oils and household oils, are widely reported to weaken latex barriers. Keep them apart unless the packaging explicitly says otherwise.
